Mikey Pauker is a Jewish/Folk music artist hailing out of Orange County, California. Mikey is recognized as an engaging musician who is stretching the boundaries of contemporary Jewish music with his soulful, globally influenced sound. Mikey draws inspiration from traditional Jewish liturgy, Chassidut and his own spiritual journey. In the spring of 2010 Mikey released, “Mikey Pauker Sim Shalom,” produced by Troy Dexter (Julie Silver, Craig Taubman, Debbie Friedman). “Sim Shalom” was recently featured on the new 10 Year Anniversary 5771 NFTY Ruach series. In the spring of 2011, Mikey released “Mikey Pauker & The JoyMachine,” a soulful collection of songs produced by Evan Vidar, recorded live with a few over dubs.  Following this release, Mikey and his band embarked on a west coast tour, gigging at premiere venues including The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, The Mint in Los Angeles and Hotel Utah in San Francisco. In the past year, Mikey has played at some of the biggest Jewish Music festivals including being featured at Jacob’s Ladder Festival in Israel, Jewlicious Festivals, The Jewish County Fair, URJ Biennial, The Santa Barbara Jewish Music Festival, The Orange County Israel Expo, and The House Of Israel Jewish Music Festival.  This year Mikey was added on Jewishrockradio.com as an “Emerging Artist”. He is a new member of Nurootz, a Jewish music and story telling collective. Mikey has shared the stage with: Idan Raichel, Matisyahu, Local Natives, Trevor Hall, The Stone Foxes, Kosha Dillz, Todd Kessler, Max Jared, Moshav, Fools Gold, Matthew Santos, Craig Taubman, Dan Nichols, Jeff Klepper, and Josh Nelson, among others. Mikey is a gifted experiential educator who uses music, yoga and meditation to engage with people of all ages and who transforms Jewish learning into an inspirational encounter through his enthusiasm and uplifting ruach. Mikey has taught in both traditional and experiential Jewish educational settings all over North America and Israel.
