Susie loves everything Jewish, especially music! Formerly a Musical Theater singer/actor and nightclub pianist for open mic shows, Susie found her passion for Judaism while working as a songleader at the JCC and other synagogues in NYC. Working with kids in this way made her realize just how powerful music can be to create community, belonging, and strong Jewish Identity, and she decided to become a cantor. She has served Temple Jeremiah as their cantor since 2018. Susie loves collaborating, and has produced and performed in many concerts at Temple Jeremiah featuring her fellow Jewish musician colleagues. She was introduced to JRR through her participation in Jewish Rock Radio’s Chicago Sings. The most important community she likes to create is in her Jewish home, with her small children Abigail and Zev, and her husband Ross. Theirs is the home where everyone is always welcome for all Jewish holidays, filled with music and song!
