Zach Singer is a unique songwriter who blends serious topics and complex rhymes to create whimsical and inviting lyrics. While his voice is often raw, he deploys hummable melodies with beautiful harmonies. He goes from a traditional, folky acoustic bounce to instrumental jams with virtuosic electric guitar solos and bass lines.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Zach spent the last sixteen years as a regular on the Los Angeles and Austin, Texas music scenes. Aside from leading his own bands, Zach has performed as a side man for Dan Nichols, Craig Taubman, and Ellen Allard in addition to being a regular band member for the Clint Manning, Eric Hunker, and Jay Rapoport.
In 2007, Zach released his EP Idiopathic with a band of Berklee friends, produced by Dan Molad of the major group Lucius. In 2020 he released a long awaited, totally acoustic follow up to Idiopathic called Significant Events that featured lush vocal and instrumental harmonies. 2021 saw the release of his first Shabbossa jam called Hitor’ri and the instrumental album ‘The Casio Threads and other Delights. Based on his production on Significant Events, Zach was tapped to produce a song for Ellen Allard and Jay Rapoport’s entire 2022 album ‘Attitude of Gratitude.’ The disc features multiple guitar solos and over twelve different instruments played by Zach Himself. He also released his second Shabbossa ‘Adonai Malach’ with Happie Hoffman. It is a bop.
Zach is a veteran songleader with over twenty years experience. Throughout the North American community of Jewish professionals, Zach is a known and accomplished guitar and bass teacher. He has instructed over 200 students in person and online.
